European Air Charter works with Approved Training Organisations to deliver Airbus A320 base training and supervised line flying within a live, IOSA-certified airline operation. Pilots train and fly under experienced TRI and TRE instructors, on our own A320 fleet, supported by the same operational and safety standards that run our daily ACMI and charter flights.

Our instructors are the strongest reason to train with us. European Air Charter's base training and line flying are conducted by TRI and TRE instructors with many years of operational and training experience on the A320. Pilots learn from professionals who fly the line themselves, not from an airline simply offering aircraft time. That depth of experience is what turns a base training slot into genuine professional development.
After the type rating simulator phase, EASA requires base training in the actual aircraft. We deliver that base training on the A320 fleet we operate from Burgas Airport (LBBG), supported by our in-house flight operations, engineering, and CAMO teams. Every session runs to the IOSA-certified and EASA-compliant standards that underpin our ACMI and charter operations.
We also give ATOs the option to send pilots to us after training to build their first 500 hours of real operational experience. These pilots are assigned to our bases and fly scheduled and charter operations under the supervision of qualified, experienced instructors. It is the step that takes a newly rated pilot from the simulator to confident line flying on a working A320.
Everything is structured and handled correctly. Pilots receive contracts, the process is organised from an operational and administrative point of view, and each stage is managed by people who do this every day. ATOs work with a single airline-operated structure rather than coordinating across separate providers, which keeps standards consistent from the first briefing to the line check.

Base training is the in-aircraft flying required after the simulator phase of an A320 type rating. Under EASA rules, pilots complete five touch-and-go circuits, one go-around, and one full-stop landing in the actual aircraft under a Type Rating Instructor. European Air Charter delivers this on the A320 fleet it operates at Burgas Airport (LBBG).
